As a one-doctor, family-owned practice, your care starts with Dr. Dan and stays under his direction throughout treatment. Your treatment begins with a digital scan of your teeth using our state-of-the-art iTero scanner, so there are no uncomfortable impression trays. From those scans, a series of aligners is crafted specifically for your mouth, fitting snugly and comfortably against your teeth. Because the aligners are removable, you can eat and drink whatever you like, and maintaining your normal oral hygiene routine is simple. Dr. Dan oversees every step of your Invisalign journey personally, monitoring your progress at each visit to ensure your treatment stays on track and delivers the outcome you deserve.
No two smiles are exactly alike, and we don’t believe their treatment plans should be either. Great orthodontic care requires the expertise to understand not only how to treat, but what to treat and when.
Before recommending treatment, Dr. Dan takes the time to understand your concerns, goals, lifestyle, dental needs, and, when appropriate, growth and development. He carefully considers the timing of treatment, the available options, and the approach he believes makes the most sense for the individual patient.
That also means we don’t believe in rushing into treatment simply because you came in for a consultation. Sometimes the right recommendation is to get started. Other times, the better choice may be to wait, monitor growth or development, or revisit treatment at a more appropriate time. The goal is to recommend the right treatment at the right time, with a plan designed specifically around you.
It’s an approach grounded in clinical expertise, careful planning, and a simple belief: orthodontic treatment should make sense for the person receiving it.
Quality matters in the details. That’s why Dr. Dan is deliberate about the technology, materials, appliances, and techniques used at Darien Orthodontics. Rather than choosing what is simply most convenient, he evaluates the options available and selects the tools he believes will best support each patient’s individual treatment.
Our digital approach includes iTero scanning, advanced imaging and treatment-planning technology, modern braces and customized treatment options, and clear aligner systems such as Invisalign. Digital scanning also means we can capture detailed models of your teeth without old-school, goopy impression trays.
These tools give Dr. Dan more information and more options as he plans and guides treatment. Depending on the patient and treatment approach, modern orthodontic technology can also help make care more precise, comfortable, efficient, and personalized.
But technology never replaces the orthodontist behind it. The tools we use are just that: tools. It’s Dr. Dan’s experience, clinical judgment, and understanding of the individual patient that determine how and when those tools are used.
